My Experience as an Energy Sensitive, Savvy Home Buyer in a Hot Calgary Real Estate Market
I probably don’t have to tell you that Calgary, like many other parts of Canada, is experiencing a real estate boom. In fact, the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) has reported the lowest amount of inventory since 2006 for the months of February and March 2023.
As an energy sensitive, savvy home buyer, I can tell you from personal experience that it was not easy to navigate. I recently purchased the One but this came after many disappointments, six unsuccessful offers to be exact.
I was fortunate enough to be working with an heart-centered Realtor who understands when the vibes are off. Interestingly enough, the one before the real One, looked like a perfect match on paper. In person, not so much.
Here are my top five tips for navigating a hot real estate market as an energy sensitive, savvy home buyer:
1. Listen to your intuition.
If something feels off, it probably is. This can be tricky because there can be a difference between a material issue with the house and current misaligned energy. When in doubt, take your time and ask yourself prompting questions to better tap into your inner knowing – it’s always right.

2. Make sure you are working with a high-vibe Realtor
who understands that sometimes you will not love the homes that meet your criteria and that’s ok. Energy, flow, and layout are just as important as the number of rooms and neighborhood.
3. Be able to look past the furniture and décor
It doesn’t come with the house anyways. Believe me, this is easier said than done. Things hold energy so don’t let antiquated furniture distract you from an otherwise amazing house.
